Keyboard Shortcuts

Master Linear with keyboard shortcuts. All shortcuts can be customized in Preferences > Keyboard.

Measurement shortcuts​

Quick measurement

Double-tap M to take a quick measurement without keeping the tool active. Single measurement, then return to previous mode.

Browser shortcuts can be customized in your browser's extension settings.

Customizing shortcuts​

  1. Open Preferences (⌘, or Ctrl+,)
  2. Select "Keyboard Shortcuts"
  3. Click any shortcut to modify
  4. Press your desired key combination
  5. Click "Save" to apply

Shortcut conflicts​

Linear checks for conflicts:

  • Within Linear
  • With common system shortcuts

If a conflict is detected, you'll be prompted to choose.

Resetting defaults​

To restore default shortcuts:

  1. Open Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts
  2. Click "Reset to Defaults"
  3. Confirm the reset
